Michelle Winkler sees too many chip and pitch shot swings that are unnecessarily long. Let the loft on your club do the work and your short game will improve drastically.

I have seen this start to work the more I practice it. Sometimes I tend to open the Club head more than I need to and I catch myself. Would you recommend a 60 degree wedge in addition to a 56 which I already have?
Is it important to keep Club head squared throughout the chip? Also I have a 56 degree wedge. Would that be ok to use just off the green?
All of this is fine, but my problem is being able to strike the ball at the precise spot with the precise edge of the club.
If I could do that repeatably then there would be no need to watch this video. LOL! It is called Fat, or skull shots that has given me the yips and I can't shake them.
Michelle,
Where you are hitting from is NOT a tight lie, at least not by Florida public links standards. Tight lies down here have maybe a 1/16th of an inch of grass height. What do you do in these situations ?
This not directed to you specifically, I laugh at all the golf pass instructors who call tight lies what would be lush lies down here.
Thanks,
Henry
Well, I don't do this at all. Closed stance, feet tilted forward, keep my hands ahead of the ball. I do love what you are saying about shortening the swing though, spot on with that. I see so many people drag that club back and decelerate into the chip and that is recipe for disaster! I would encourage anyone reading this to google "Phil Mickelson Chipping Lesson" helped my short game dramatically.
My main issue with these types of chips, even with that type of follow though, it stubbing before the ball, even off tight lies...any advice about what is causing that?
Great tip! Can't wait to try it out. Do we use the bounce? I assume yes but want to make sure.
Thanks,
Rob
The slow motion replay shows the club shaft to be very neutral at impact- no forward lean. That would indicate the bounce being activated for this shot
