To have to make this turn, you must have over-rotatated in the backswing. If the face is kept closed in the backswing, it will always arrive on time. The key is pronate not rotate.
great advice quite unique as well
👍
Thank you for that tip.
So when you close the club face before you take your grip do you keep the face closed at address or is this drill designed to close the face at impact of the swing
Yep, designed for impact.
I've been doing this drill for a few months on the course ahead of my swing. It really helps!
Good to hear.
My problem with turning my wrist to the one o’clock position that is hard land wrist in the same position every time. At times I go to far.
Martin, I was told by a person at the PGA store who analyzed my swing and he said I was casting, which he believed was costing my 30 to 50 yards on my drives. (I'm 65 and I can't seem to drive it more than 185). So do you have any tips/drills on how to stop casting or other tips to gain distance for older golfers?
Number 1 for distance with the driver is center contact, see if you hit it in the middle of face.
If you do cast the club you need to try to pull the club with your body and lead arm in downswing.
